After devouring their plates of meat, the two wrestlers next visited the restaurant is,
A popular bar known for its delicious fried chicken halves.
The crispy fried chicken is a perfect accompaniment to beer.
So, here, too, the "kanpai" (cheers and applause) began! The "Kampai!

Guts Ishijima and Yuki Kanzaki teamed up for the second round of beer specials, starting with fried chicken halves. It's a cool and austere sign. Now, the bell rings to start the match!
Taishusakaba HOSHINO is an izakaya famous for its “tori” (chicken), whose main branch is located in Shinjuku Gyoen. It was over three years ago that they opened their second shop in Shinjuku 3-chome. Since then, it has been known as a very popular chicken-dish restaurant in the Suehiro-Dori Shotenkai. The signature menu item is the “Fried Half a Chicken” served by the owner of the restaurant in the photo above. Of course, they’ll serve you freshly fried steamy meat on the spot. The fried half a chicken looks big and is very satisfying to eat. When you bite into it, the juices will seep out in your mouth. Guts and Yuuki are dividing the pieces into indivisual parts with their hands and eating them all up with enthusiasm, and they eat so quickly. They are devouring the meat.
But first, the chicken doesn’t fry immediately. You need to wait for a long time...... There’s no such thing as that. The beer here is Sapporo’s Akaboshi large bottle. It’s a large bottle, 633ml. The two of them first poured it into glasses and took a gulp. Then, they said each other “come on, drink”, and poured it again and gulped down. So, 633ml was gone in no time and it was time for the next bottle. Just as they were wondering how many bottles they had emptied, the first fried half a chicken appeared.
The keyword for this restaurant is definitely chicken. In addition to the fried half a chicken, there are many other dishes on the menu that you will want to order, such as “raw tsukune (640 yen)” and “chicken white liver tataki (770 yen).” “Tsukune green peppers (640 yen)” are also hard to let go. The two of them ordered “Motsunikomi” as an additional dish.
It’s a small dish of tenderly stewed chicken offal topped with plenty of shredded green onions. If you sprinkle some chili pepper on it and take a bite, …... you’ll want another beer.

Drink beer, eat fried chicken halves, and drink again. A very nice combination that satisfies both the throat and the stomach. No matter how much you eat or drink, you feel like you can still go on.
Guts and Yuki’s search for tasty beer continue. For the third round, they headed to a restaurant where they wanted to enjoy a beer in a more relaxed atmosphere. This is Grand Soeur, a bar lounge where you can enjoy scotch, bourbon, gin, rum, and more. But they also had nice beer available. Here, you can taste the ruby red beer, Liefmans, which is only known to those in the know, “on draft”. Liefmans is a Belgian beer and is one of the so-called fruit beers. It is made by marinating and aging cherries for a long period of time, then blending them with various berries such as elderberries and raspberries.

A change of atmosphere from the previous two restaurants, we will have a stylish beer in a slightly chic atmosphere. Here at Glan Sur, you can enjoy Leaf Month "on draft," which is rare even in Shinjuku. It tastes like a real Belgian beer with lots of berries. This is a beer to be savored slowly.
The two of them had been drinking heavily and were probably satisfied with their stomachs, so here they took their time to enjoy the stylish red beer. As they tilted their glasses and had a long talk, they felt like they might end up drinking a lot more. The alcohol content is low at 3.8%, so go ahead and drink as much as you like (laughs).
This is the end of this special feature, “Let’s drink awesome beer at Suehiro-Dori Shotenkai!!!”
Thank you for joining us, Guts and Yuuki. There are many places to drink beer on Suehiro Street.
Please go barhopping after this.
